Differences: Henry and Nora Allen are alive, Wally West is The Flash, Edward Clariss is his nemesis The Rival, Cisco Ramone and Caitlin Snow have different careers.
First appeared in: The Flash: ‘Flashpoint’.
Notes: When Barry Allen went back in time to save his mother from Reverse-Flash, he created a new timeline dubbed ‘Flashpoint’ by Eobard Thawne. He eventually attempted to revert the timeline to how it was before but he instead created a subtly different one – where Caitlin Snow has ice powers, Julian Albert was his partner and Cisco’s brother Dante had died.
Differences: Connor Hawke AKA John Diggle Jr is Green Arrow, Oliver Queen has one arm, Grant Wilson is Deathstroke.
First appeared in: Legends of Tomorrow: ‘Star City 2046’.
Notes: A version of the timeline where the Legends never return home and Vandal Savage has control of the world. Star City is overrun by criminals, with a new Green Arrow and his nemesis Deathstroke. Interestingly, this might be similar to the real post-Flashpoint future. Due to Barry’s altering of the timeline, Diggle’s daughter Sara became his son John – the future Green Arrow.
Vandal Savage Kills The Arrowverse
Differences: Vandal Savage wipes out Central City.
First appeared in: Arrow: ‘Legends of Yesterday’.
Notes: Green Arrow and The Flash confront Vandal Savage. However, they lose and Savage uses his staff to destroy Central City – killing Team Arrow and Team Flash in the process. Barry travels back in time and ensures that, next time around, they beat him.
Differences: Damien Darhk is mayor of Star City, Malcom Merlyn’s family are alive, Eobard Thawne is head of STAR Labs.
First appeared in: Legends of Tomorrow: ‘Doomsworld’
Notes: When the Legion of Doom – that’s Darhk, Merlyn, Thawne, Leonard Snart and their provisional ally Mick Rory – get their hands on the Spear of Destiny they rewrite reality to give themselves what they want. As well as the above differences, Sara and Amaya work for Darhk as his enforcers. Most of the world’s superheroes have been hunted down – including the Flash, Spartan, Wild Dog, Ragman and Huntress (Felicity Smoak in this reality).
Black Mercy Dream World
Differences: Krypton survives, Kal-El and Kara Zor-El never come to Earth.
First appeared in: Supergirl: ‘For The Girl Who Has Everything’.
Notes: This alternate timeline was a dream experienced by Supergirl induced by a Black Mercy. She imagined a world where Krypton was never destroyed and she and her cousin Kal-El remained behind.
Differences: Oliver Queen is the not the Green Arrow, Laurel Lance lives, Sara Lance was not trained by the League of Assassins, Felicity Smoak is CEO of Smoak Industries ETC.
First appeared in: Arrow: ‘Invasion!’.
Notes: Similarly, Oliver and Thea Queen, Sara Lance and Ray Palmer were placed in a communal dreamscape by the alien Dominators which imagined a world where they were not superheroes. Many of their friends and family were alive in this reality – including Robert and Moira Queen and Tommy Merlyn. Oliver and Laurel were also engaged and John Diggle was operating as the Green Arrow (much like his son would do in the alternate 2046).
Music Meister’s Reality
Differences: 1940s setting. Familiar characters have different identities. Follows rules of a musical movie.
First appeared in: Supergirl: ‘Star-Crossed’.
Notes: The powerful alien trickster Music Meister traps Kara and Barry in a dream world of their own creation. Due to their mutual love of musicals, the reality took the form of an old-fashioned musical, complete with perfectly choreographed dance numbers and a host of familiar characters “playing” different people.
