Around since 1941, Starman is a Green Lantern-like hero who derives his spacey-wacey powers from his cosmic rod (now, don’t laugh). And no, he doesn’t have anything to do with David Bowie.

When detective Jim Corrigan was murdered, his soul was sent back to Earth to fight the forces of evil. A living Corrigan appeared on Constantine but never became the more familiar character.
Midnighter and Apollo
Originally from DC’s WildStorm imprint, Midnighter and Apollo are sort of like Batman /Superman analogues – the difference is that they are lovers (and eventually married).
The Question
An Investigate reporter by day, at night Vic Sage uses an artificial skin to cover his face and becomes a crime-fighting vigilante. Gotham cop Renee Montoya later takes up the mantle.
