Black Knight Ghost
The Black Knight Ghost has the honour of being the very first villain encountered by Mystery Inc. in the series premiere of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? The evil armoured antagonist later had a major role in Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed (along with many of the following ghouls).
Captain Cutler’s Ghost
Old-fashioned deep-sea divers are kind of freaky-looking, if you think about it, and Scooby-Doo capitalised on that with Captain Cutler’s Ghost, a spooky diver apparently resurrected from the depths. With his eerie green glow and covered in seaweed, he’s not easy to forget.
Charlie the Robot
Charlie the Robot marks an unusual break with tradition, even as early as the eighth episode of Where Are You? He’s not a crook in a mask but an actual functioning robot that was reprogrammed to cause havoc at a funland amusement park. Those soulless orange eyes, man.
Ghost Clown
Who’s not afraid of clowns? A clown was a natural choice for a Scooby-Doo monster, then, and Where Are You?’s Ghost Clown doesn’t disappoint. He’s also got the added hook of being a master hypnotist, able to bring the Mystery Gang under his sway.
Zombie
The Zombie is one of two masked fiends that appears in the same WAY? episode, but while his Witch mistress isn’t as well remembered, you may well recall the bald, green-skinned and red-eyed zombie from your youthful nightmares.
