Now that filming on Marvel’s much-anticipated The Defenders mini-series is underway, we know that these characters will appear.
The First Defender will naturally appear in the series. I’m expecting him to take the Captain America role as the leader of the team, but you never know.
Jessica Jones – with her acid tongue and less savoury character traits – is definitely the Iron Man of the Defenders group. I can’t imagine she and Matt will see eye to eye very often.
The Man with Unbreakable Skin, Luke Cage has history with Jessica – which could make things awkward when they team up to save New York.
We haven’t seen even Iron Fist yet – a mystical kung fu hero – but he will appear in The Defenders after his own show arrives in early 2017.
Night Nurse Claire Temple has appeared in every Netflix Marvel series so far, so it’s really no surprise that she will reappear in The Defenders. Many expect her to be the one to bring the gang together.
The blind martial arts master who taught Matt everything he knows, Stick and his good ninja clan the Chaste lead an unending war against the evil ninja clan The Hand. Will they appear in The Defenders too?
It looks likely, as Elektra has been confirmed to turn up in The Defenders. Anyone who has seen Daredevil season two knows that Elektra is currently in the possession of The Hand.
Matt’s best friend and fellow avocado in law Foggy Nelson will return to help his superhero pal in The Defenders.
Karen Page only just found at that her beau Matt was really Daredevil in the closing moments of Daredevil season two. How will she react when he forms an all-new superhero team?
Jeri Hogarth is another character with ties to multiple Defenders. She worked with Jessica, is Foggy’s new boss and will act as a family friend of Danny Rand in Iron Fist. But what role will she have in The Defenders?
Luke Cage took gifted detective Misty Knight on a journey towards becoming a vigilante herself. Will she team up with The Defenders in the mini-series?
Jessica’s adopted sister Trish is another one who has dabbled in kicking some ass. Given how much she loves superheroes, we assume Trish will be supportive of her sister joining The Defenders.
Malcom helped Jessica bring Kilgrave down in Jessica Jones and ended up as her secretary at Alias Investigations. Will he now help out the whole Defenders team?
Finally, it has been announced that none other than Sigourney Weaver will play the villain of the mini-series. Who is she playing? We have no idea, but we can’t wait to find out!
