The Thirteenth Doctor’s wardrobe has been revealed with this first promo image of Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor Who…

In contrast to the black hoodie donned by Whittaker in the announcement trailer (released back in July), the Thirteenth Doctor’s outfit is a colourful ensemble, including a cream coat, yellow braces, bright blue trousers and a stripey top. Different elements bring to mind different past Doctors. The brace and boots combo is very Matt Smith and the clash of colours recalls the Sixth Doctor’s garish technicolour dreamcoat. Also, note the very TARDIS-y blue and white socks!
Speaking of the TARDIS, fans will notice that the exterior of the Doctor’s time machine has been given a redesign. Peter Capaldi’s version was a much deeper blue, with white-rimmed windows, a St. Johns Ambulance sticker on the door and a white ‘Pull to Open’ sign. The dimensions of the Police Box also seem slightly squatter. All in all, it looks much more in line with the TARDIS model used throughout the classic series.
