Check out these new photos from EW’s coverage of the next X-Men: Dark Phoenix, teasing Jean Grey’s fiery alter ego…
- Two of the images reveal what Sophie Tuner’s Phoenix entity will look like, with flaming hair and volcanic energy cracking through her skin. Another image shows Jean looking forlorn in the rain, no doubt guilt-ridden over her destructive powers.
- The third image reveals that Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique has got a new look (and she’s wearing clothes!) that’s closer to the comic book character.
- The last photo gives us our first look at Jessica Chastain’s character. The red-headed actress has gone whitish blonde for this mysterious role. Early reports said she might be playing Lilandra, the space queen of the Shi’ar Empire. However, this image seems to dismiss that rumour.
- Finally, the fourth image of the set is the most intriguing. It looks pretty certain that one of the X-Men is going to die. At least we can rule out Professor X (James McAvoy), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smith-McPhee), Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and… is that Magneto (Michael Fassbender)?
