Our first look at the upcoming second season of Jessica Jones reveals that David Tennant’s Kilgrave will be returning, after all…
This is a shocking revelation as – SPOILERS FOR SEASON ONE – the last time we saw the mind-controlling villain he had his neck snapped by Jessica, killing him instantly. Of course, things might not be as they appear and this could just be a hallucination of Kilgrave. For example, the first season featured Jessica having visions of Kilgrave which represented how she was still traumatized by what he did to her. It’s possible that something similar is happening here.
Apart from Kilgrave’s return, we know very little about what season two holds. Earlier in the year, Krysten Ritter teased, though, that it Jessica’s problems would only increase in the new run.
“Even in the source material, so much stuff has happened to her. You feel for her … Every time, you’re just like, ‘Ugh, she’s been through so much.’ Yet she still fights. Which is what we love about her. The first season was in her head and the second season is in her heart.”
Jessica Jones season two is set to land on Netflix at some time in 2018.

I’m kind of hoping Kilgrave here is just a hallucination. Bringing him back for real would be seriously lame no matter how great a villain he was.

Yeah, I’m leaning towards it being a hallucination. I reckon they know they can’t bring him back to life but just want David Tennant to stay involved some how.
