A violent anti-hero who believes Batman is too lenient on Gotham’s criminals, Red Hood is really Jason Todd, the second Robin once murdered by the Joker (but later resurrected. Obviously).

Sandman

Neil Gaiman’s personification of Dream is not a superhero but he is the protagonist of his self-titled mythological comic series. A film version is currently stuck in development hell.

Though a Green Lantern Corps film is in the works, we don’t know which of the Emerald Knights will finally get their due. John Stewart? Guy Gardner? Kyle Rayner? Or the original, Alan Scott?

Batman Beyond

Batman-Beyond-580x333

In a future cyberpunk Gotham, an elderly Bruce Wayne trains up cocky youth Terry McGinnis as the new Batman – complete with hi-tech suit and flying Batmobile.

Nightwing

Dick Grayson has featured in live-action several times, but never as Nightwing – his adult superhero alter ego. We’ve no idea why, as it’s the perfect way to adapt him in a modern way.

Characters confirmed to be making movie or TV show appearances in the coming years: Justice League Dark. Booster Gold. Shazam. Black Lightning. The Ray. Guardian.
