Whedonites and lovers of female superheroes, gather round – Joss Whedon is making another comic book movie. And this time it’s with DC!
The Avengers and Age of Ultron director is in talks to direct a Batgirl solo movie. Fans of the writer/director will know that the character is a perfect match for his style, as he is known for creating strong heroines e.g. Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
If you somehow don’t know, Batgirl is a sidekick to Batman and is the alter ego of Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Commissioner Gordon. She is frequently involved with Nightwing, who is also getting his own movie, so there could be some crossover there.
As we said, Whedon is only in talks at the moment so his involvement could fall apart. Let’s hope he sticks around, though, as this one has us very excited indeed.
