Filming on Wonder Woman 1984 kicked off today and, just to show how insanely hyped the DC sequel is, official photos have been immediately released on the web.
We’ll build up to the big reveal so, first off, Gal Gadot shared an image of herself in character as Diana Prince on social media. The shot sees Diana getting to grips with the world of the 1980s. Presumably she has been out of the loop since she lost her beloved Steve Trevor during World War I…
Or did she? This image released by director Patty Jenkins reveals that – whaaa? – Chris Pine will be returning as Steve in Wonder Woman 1984! No, it won’t be in the form of a flashback or a memory by the looks of things. Pine is dressed in 80s fashion so it does seem that, somehow, Steve is not only alive but hasn’t aged a day since the 1910s. Unless this is a descendant of his with the same name?
Wonder Woman 1984 also features Kristen Wiig as Diana’s latest nemesis Cheetah. Pedro Pascal also stars. It’s set to lasso into cinemas on November 1st 2019.
