Following Aquaman, DC’s next movie will be Shazam! Billy Batson (Asher Angel) is an ordinary kid – until he is granted magic powers by an ancient wizard (Djimon Hounsou). All he has to do is say one word and he will become… a superhero (Zachary Levi)! Shazam! looks to be the most purely fun DC film so far. It magics into cinemas next April.
DC Extended Universe Rebranded As… The Worlds of DC!
For the past few years, fans have referred to the DC movie franchise by the unofficial name of the DC Extended Universe. Now, Warner Bros. has finally supplied us with an official title for the series – the franchise is now called… The Worlds of DC. The title also covers movies set in their own continuity, like the solo Joker film.
