7. Lineage
A woman claims Clark is her son (and Lex’s half-brother!) in an episode that is a refreshing change of pace. We also finally find out the history between Jonathan and Lionel. 8.5/10
8. Ryan
The boy from ‘Stray’ returns in perhaps the most touching episode yet, if a little saccharine. Terrific stuff from Lex: “in life, the road to darkness is a journey, not a light switch.” 8.5/10
9. Dichotic
An overachieving kid uses his ability to split himself in two to date Chloe and Lana simultaneously – arousing Clark’s suspicion and jealousy. So-so meteor freak episode. 7.5/10
10. Skinwalker
A Native American themed episode, as Clark discovers caves that could explain his past. A predictable plot with a boring romance, though there are important hints for the future. 7/10
11. Visage
Whitney returns from the US Marines – or does he? An episode with some nice twists and an impressive performance from Eric Johnson. Surprisingly touching final scene, too. 8/10
12. Insurgence
Tensions fly everywhere in this episode (which also sees Clark actually sorta fly), as Lex and Lionel bug each other and Martha finds out that her boss has dirt on Clark. Terrific drama. 9/10
