30. Passion (BTVS – S2E17)
Often featured higher up on people’s lists, this features the first time that one of the Scoobies meets a tragic end and Angellus crosses the line. This shock lifts an otherwise OK episode.
29. Enemies (BTVS – S3E17)
Personally, I prefer the next season’s episode seventeen. Faith and the Mayor set about converting Angel to their evil cause in an episode with not one but two great twists.
28. You’re Welcome (ANG – S512)
Angel‘s 100th episode sees Cordelia miraculously return for her final appearance in a very touching, emotional episode that looks at how far the characters have come across the show.
27. Band Candy (BTVS – S3E06)
The adults of Sunnydale are reverted to their teenage selves (yes, ‘Spin the Bottle’ pinched this one’s premise) by some magical candy in a hilarious episode. Tearaway teen Giles is a delight.
26. Prophecy Girl (BTVS – S1E12)
Buffy‘s season one isn’t up to the heights of later seasons but its finale nails Buffy’s struggle between her wants and her responsibilities perfectly. How can you not be moved when Buffy goes to her certain death?
