Fandom Factory’s Superhero Awards of 2016

Best Recast Character in a Superhero Movie

And The Runners-up Are…

4. Young X-Men (Various) – 7%

3. The Joker (Jared Leto) – 9%

2. Spider-Man (Tom Holland) – 33%

And The Winner Is…

1. Batman (Ben Affleck) – 50%

Comment: It seems Jared Leto’s take on the Joker really wasn’t very popular as he struggled to rake in at least 10% of votes. Instead, his nemesis Batman scored an impressive 50%. I assumed the race between Affleck’s Batman and Holland’s Spider-Man would be much closer but Spidey actually trailed Bats by a significant margin. Perhaps fans need to see Holland in Spider-Man: Homecoming before properly passing judgement on him.

    1. Yeah, I was also shocked at this result! I agree with you about DC’s live-action movies this year. On the other hand, they did have a good year for TV and a decent one for their animated movies. Still, Marvel was solid in every area so I think they deserved to win.
