NEWS FLASH: Superman And Lois Lane Join This Year’s Arrowverse Crossover

Tyler Hoechlin will be stopping by as the Man of Steel in this year’s Arrowverse crossover… and Lois Lane, yet to be cast, will join him!

Superman was last seen in Supergirl at the end of season 2, so this return is a long time coming. Ever since Hoechlin first played the part of Clark Kent to a warm reception by fans in 2016, fans have wanted to see him interact with the rest of The CW’s DC universe – now their wish is finally being answered.

What’s more, Lois Lane will be making her Arrowverse debut in the crossover. The part of the intrepid Daily Planet reporter has yet to be cast but the auditioning process is set to begin soon.

Supergirl‘s executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner had this to say about Lois’ arrival:

“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse. This dogged, determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DC characters.”

Though Lois hasn’t appeared in the Arrowverse before, two actresses most known for playing her have – namely, Lois & Clark‘s Teri Hatcher and Smallville‘s Erica Durance have both shown their faces on Supergirl.

This year’s Arrowverse crossover is three parts long – The Flash airs on December 9th, Arrow on the 10th and finally Supergirl on the 11th. Legends of Tomorrow is sitting this one out. As well as Superman and Lois, the crossover will also introduce Kate Kane AKA Batwoman into the franchise to boot, as played by Ruby Rose.
